I have built a few new sites and they are listed in the menu. They are structured in a seo friendly construction. Meaning that the spider should find the pages easily and index them with a higher position and page rank. Meaning that surfers might find the sites.

The new sites are: belly dancing, investing 101, yard landscaping, snowboarding and quit smoking.

These are little sites with only a few pages populating a strong theme in a vertical way. Some other themes will be developed laterally covering other aspects of the main topics.

Seo likes this kind of website structure.

After a month, I cancelled my membership with Content desk. I took all I could from them learning how to built authority sites. I realize that it will take months building affiliate blogs to become profitable. I will take the time, everyday posting and building pages. The wordpress way of publishing is dynamic. Every post pings services. Tags keywords pings services. Marketing is done. I a matter of a few days, “sailing.bloggermind’ was indexed by google. Terrific. I only need to find a few good niches and that is it. Wel it is suppose to be. They say it.

I wrote a toroughfull presentation page about my sailboat Superblanc today. I added photos links and also a sailing video. I am happy.

I may have found why posting brings up an error page coming from the mysql database. I think it is a setting from Ultimate Tag Warrior. I will test with this post.

Although it is not bloggermind, I have a photo blog elsewhere. I just added a new category named “Photo of the Day”. The site carries my own photographs.

Sailboat pages were added to the sailing blog. Some about my personal sailboat and others from the Sierra 26. See the Sailboats page. I am confronted to the limitations of Wordpress as a website builder. For example the text editor is very limited. Some html coding is needed to compensate. The menu structure lack the ability to hide pages from the index one. I do not know yet if the publish page ping the services. And more.

I miss some functionality and automation of XSitePro, this incredible piece of techonology.

As part of the plan to develop bloggermind, I intend to link blogs as subdomain of it. So the first one is sailing.bloggermind and he is in development. I will cover some niches inside the sailing topic like racing, boatbuilding, technology, sportboat etc.  In short fast sailing.

Today I managed to dig into the coding behind wordpress. I have customized an already made theme. I am not a graphist so I tried the minimalist side of doing things. You can judge by yourself. I also wanted to facilitate the navigation as much as possible. I am aware of the importance of the landing page. I remember seeing something somewhere giving tips on what should be there and how.

I have also implemented taging in the last post. I have this plug-in Ultimate Tag Warrior. The highlighted keywords at the bottom of the posts are tags. If you click one, all the posts within this site with this keyword tag will be dispayed in the same page. I tried, it works.

I have also tagged keywords within a post linking to technorati. And this too works.

This is part of a linking strategy. Goal: bring visitors here.

Yesterday I looked around taging and pinging. Basically, you link a keyword to a taging service like technorati. Then if the reader click this link, he will be forwarding to a techonorati page with posts from other blogs for this same keyword or tag for more reading. Inverselly, if one goes directly to technorati and call this same keyword or tag, he may see your own post. That is linking strategy. This may bring visitors to your site.

Simple. Well let’s do it and see.

This is the first step. I plan to use this site as a blogs directories I will put together. I will cover niches choosen from personal interest and also from what the web is curious about. Meaning popular on the search engines.

I will use this project to learn and put together internet marketing technics to bring visitors and monetize with affiliate programs.
